Offered in ranges from 1 to 50kN, the miniature U2000 series load cells provide precision measurement capabilities in either tension or compression mode, with a 3mV/V full scale output. Their robust, shear web design incorporates multiple strain gages, strategically placed to counteract and minimize errors associated with unwanted side or axial forces. A corrosion-resistant stainless steel housing and environmental sealing to IP54 helps ensure reliable performance in harsh environments, over a wide temperature range of -20 to +80°C. The low deflection and high frequency response characteristics of the Sherborne Sensors U2000 series are especially beneficial for both materials testing and high-speed load measurement applications, and particularly, where peak loads are being monitored. Additional available options for the U2000 series range include spherical load buttons, mounting bases, fully isolated double bridge and fatigue rated versions. In addition, Sherborne Sensors custom designs and manufactures variations to conform to specific customer requirements.

Sensor Developments, Inc. addresses the needs to measure belt or chain torque on pulley systems with the use of Sensor Developments Inc universal pulley torque sensor.

Pulley

Capable of accepting various pulley wheels and shaft diameters, this sensor features a highly accurate integrated sensing element, capable of resolving low torque levels while being exposed to high radial loads created by belt drive systems. Use it to replace a standard pulley system for equipment like engines, generators, fluid pumps, or other motor driven equipment and continuously monitor real time torque while in operation.

This sensor can be adapted to a wide range of belt drive systems and can be installed in a dynamometer test stand or on vehicle. Various torque capacities and pulley gears can be designed to meet your specific requirements.

Sensor Developments’ Model 01424 sensors are designed to measure rotating drive torque using a conventional shaft-to-shaft configuration for in-line placement.

The unique design incorporates a digital non-contact wireless system that provides power to the rotating electronics mounted on the shaft and transmits the signal back to the receiver in digital format. The torque signal is then represented as a calibrated high level analog voltage. The sensor features non-contact digital transmission for greatly reduced electrical noise, a high frequency response, and a high speed rating. These sensors can also be supplied with an optical encoder to measure angle or speed.
