MEMSIC’s MFC2030 bi-directional flow sensor uses thermal technology. It boasts a highly sensitive flow measurement with a low pressure drop as well as exceptionally low power consumption. The device’s MEMS suspended-bridge is the primary means to transfer heat via convection from the heater to the thermopiles. As aresult, the effective and rugged structure integrated with advanced CMOS circuitry and a 16-bit on-chip A/D provides an exceptionally wide flow dynamic range that is ideal for a wide range of precision industrial, consumer and medical applications.
For ease of evaluation, the sensor has an evaluation kit with USB interface and a user-friendly GUI for easy set-up and data collection.
