Compact angle sensor for wear-free rotation detection

July 24, 2024 By Redding Traiger Leave a Comment

The posirot PRAS20 from ASM angle sensor is suitable for applications such as operating tables, doors, opening valves, packaging, or printing machines. Even tight installation spaces are no problem for the sensor in a 6 mm flat housing. A redundant version, posirot PRAS 20R, is available.

posirot sensors use multihall technology for non-contact rotation measurement. A magnetic measuring body is attached to the rotating component for measurement. The change in the magnetic field during rotation is measured by a multihall sensor. This magnetic measuring method means that the sensor is wear-free.

The posirot PRAS20 has a measuring range of 0° to 360°. The linearity is ± 0.5 % and it has protection class IP60.
