Transforming the mechanical input energy required to actuate the switch into electrical energy, which is stored and then transmitted, allows users to mount CHERRY Industrial Solutions’ switch without adding wires.
The energy harvesting wireless RF switch can be operated with the frequencies 868 MHz, 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz. For transmitting the switching information, a proprietary and customer-specific protocol or RF-standards such as KNX-RF, ZigBee or Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth 4.0) can be used.
An harvesting evaluation kit, Part Number AFIK-1002, provides users a functional demonstration of the technology and ability to test its behavior including measuring signal strength and range.
The kit includes:
- Energy Harvesting Generator
- Wireless Snap Switch
- Wireless Rocker Switch
- Receiver
- USB Cable
- Antenna bushing
- Short Receiver Manual
