If you work with strain gauges, you usually have to amplify the output to achieve a useable signal for the rest of the system. FUTEK’s recently improved its CSG110 Strain Gauge Amplifier to simplify the process and improve the matching requirements of the amplifier to the application for full-bridge strain-gauge sensors with a mV/V output. The amplifier has built-in regulated bridge excitation source and delivers a VDC and/or current output. Bandwidth capabilities include 1 kHz, 10 kHz or 25 kHz.
The outputs with a bridge excitation of 5 or 10 VDC are:
±5 or ± 10 VDC outputs
0–20 mA, 4–20 mA, 0–16 mA, 5–25 mA DIP-switch selectable outputs (for select models)
The ranges include: 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 10.0 mV/V and are DIP switch selectable.
