Using a laser light and time-of-flight (TOF) technology, SIKO’s LT5000 optical distance sensor has a measuring range up to 5m. The distance to the object is determined by the time between the moment the pulsed laser light is emitted and the moment it is received back at the sensor head.
The sensor head has an analog 0-10 V or 4-20 mA output and the measurement area can be configured by simply pressing buttons and inverted, if necessary. With an additional switching output, the switching range can be adjusted as required.
