Mobile devices, wearable sensors, fitness watches and remote health monitoring appliances are among the products that can take advantage of advanced motion sensing technology. At the 2013 International CES, several companies announced new products to address these applications.
InvenSense MPU-9250, in a 3x3x1mm QFN package, is a fully-integrated 9-axis device that includes a gyroscope, accelerometer and electronic compass, with an onboard Digital Motion Processor™, and comes factory tested and calibrated. With 9.2mW power consumption, the System in Package (SiP) design provides improved compass data resolution of 16-bits (0.15 µT per LSB). The device’s software drivers are fully compliant with Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean release.
