Agri-Tronix Corporation is now shipping their GPS speed sensor that works with all agricultural monitors that require a square wave input to calculate speed and distance. The speed sensor provides the industry standard output of 46.56 Hz/mph and has a speed range of .5 mph to over 100 mph in .1 mph increments.

A test feature is built into each sensor that produces a 5.0 mph output signal that can be used to test monitor calibration, all connections, and cables without moving the vehicle.

The GPS Speed Sensor is available in two models, the 1Hz model provides one update per second and the 5Hz model produces 5 updates per second.

The unit is powered from 10.5 – 16.0 VDC and is equipped with a 16.5 foot signal cable. A built in magnet in the base of the antenna provides an easy to use mounting system.

The sensors are designed to withstand rugged operation conditions and are waterproof to IEC 60529 IPX7, immersion in 39 inches of water for 30 minutes.
