Printed Polymer Strain Gage Technology

Based on its patented sensor paste technology printed onto a printed circuit board (PCB), Hoffmann + Krippner’s P-DMS polymer strain gage can address a variety of applications. Potential applications include inventory control for grocery store shelves and vending machines, inside shoes to measure pressure distribution as someone stands or walks, hazardous area applications where a tiny spark from contacts closing an electrical circuit could set off a fire or an explosion, and more. HK_StrainGage-Finger_LR

The strain gage is printed directly on the application’s control board, so it does not need to be connected by wires. The only moving part is the deflection of the PCB where the strain gage is mounted, so it can be very accurate and long lasting
