LHA-19-R series hermetically sealed AC-LVDTs

February 3, 2021 By Paul Heney Leave a Comment

Alliance Sensors Group, a div of H.G. Schaevitz LLC, has expanded its linear position sensor line with the LHA-19-R series AC-LVDTs (Linear Variable Differential Transformers). These rugged yet high precision linear sensing devices are hermetically sealed, contactless devices with a radial connector designed for industrial and commercial applications such as factory automation, metal and paper mills, valve stem position, robotic assembly systems, pharmaceutical and food manufacturing, and operation in wet environments. LHA-19-R AC-LVDTs feature a wide operating temperature range, so are ideal for use in power generation facilities and industrial automation equipment, and in many OEM position sensing applications.

Features:

  • Hermetically sealed 3/4-in. OD SS body
  • Radial 6-pin connector
  • 12 ranges from ±0.050 to 10 in. (±1.27 to 254 mm)
  • Good core-to-bore clearance with through-bore design
  • -55° to 125° C operating temperature

“Alliance Sensors Group has for many years been known for its power-gen LVDTs and popular S1A push button calibrated LVDT signal conditioner. We are excited about moving into the general industrial marketplace with our new AC-LVDT product lines.” said Harold Schaevitz, President and CEO of Alliance Sensor Group.

LHA-19-R series AC-LVDTs operate from a nominal 3 Vrms, 2.5 – 3.3 kHz excitation source. They are packaged in a 0.750 in. (19.0 mm) OD SS housing and are offered with either an imperial or metric threaded 0.188 in. (4.8mm) diameter core, a 6-pin PTO2A-10-6P radial connector, and have a 0.235 in. (6.0 mm) ID for good core-to-bore clearance. When mated with ASG’s SC-200 industrial AC-LVDT DIN-rail-mountable signal conditioner, an LHA-19-R series AC-LVDT becomes part of a complete position measurement solution, especially when installation space is at a premium.  ASG’s AC-LVDTs are also available in larger body and longer range versions, including the new LA-9.5, LA-19, LA-20.6, LA-21, LA-25, and LA-27 series.
