Low-voltage digital pressure sensors handle 60 to 110 kPa range

September 27, 2017 By Lee Teschler

The DLV Series pressure sensors now includes 30 and 60 psi (200 and 400 kPa) differential and 600 to 1,100 mbar (60 to 110 kPa) barometric pressure ranges. This device series offers design engineers excellent performance over barometric and middle pressure ranges of 5 to 60 psi (35 to 400 kPa).

Product highlights include supply voltage options to ease application integration into a wide range of DLV seriesprocess control and measurement systems, I2C or SPI interface options and multiple power consumption modes for battery-powered or remote systems. The DLV Series provides a calibrated and compensated output over a wide temperature range of -20 to 85°C. A Sil-Gel die coating is added for enhanced media protection. The DLV Series provides an accuracy of 0.1% (typical) over temperature. Devices are now available in 5, 15, 30, 60 psi (35, 100, 200, 400 kPa) and barometric pressure ranges.

The sensors come with a Sil-Gel die coating in a miniature board-mountable package with SIP and DIP lead configurations. Multiple port and lead configurations are available. Supply voltage can be 3.3 or 5 V and accuracy is better than 0.1% over temperature (typical) with a total error band (TEB) of 0.5% (typical). Multiple update rates are available.

Applications for this device include medical breathing, environmental controls, HVAC, industrial controls, portable devices, hand-held equipment, and other applications measuring clean, dry air and gases.
