It wasn’t difficult to find interesting products at 2011 CES that took advantage of sensor technology. For one, the Withings Blood Pressure monitor connects to an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. The monitor stores measurements in these devices and they transmit it to the Withings website for an easy access from an internet browser.
Using Oscillometric measurement technique, the cuff has automatic inflation with air pump at 15 mmHg/sec. Operating between 10 to 40°C and 15 to 90%RH, the unit has a measurement range for pressure from 0 to 250 mmHg and for pulses of 30 to 200 beats/min. Accuracy for pressure is within ±3 mmHg or 2% of reading and for pulse is within +-5% of reading.
