Rather than use stainless steel or titanium that cannot withstand some corrosive liquids, American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) chose polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) a highly non-reactive and pure thermoplastic fluoropolymer material for its submersible pressure transducer. The AST4530 has a Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) diaphragm and is an ABS approved product. The transducer provides an alternative to ultrasonic and radar sensors in application including:
– Municipal water / waste water management sites
– Salt water / brine tanks
– Chemical containers / totes requiring inventory management
– Petrochemical above ground storage tanks
