The model TI8 from Metis Engineering lets you connect up to eight isolated channels.
UK-based Metis Engineering has introduced an eight-channel thermocouple module that digitizes temperature readings and send them to a host over the CAN bus. The Model TI8 provides up to 2500 V isolation for 1 minute and 600 V continuous across channels.
The module measures temperature from -200°C to 1800°C, depending on thermocouple type. It supports:
| Thermocouple type | Temperature range |
| K (standard model) | -200°C to 1250°C |
| J | 0°C to 750°C |
| T | -250°C to 350°C |
| N | -150°C to 1300°C |
| E | -200°C to 900°C |
| S | 0°C to 1450°C |
| B | 0°C to 1700°C |
| R | 0°C to 1450°C |
The module has 0.04 °C measurement resolution. Accuracy dépend on the module’s operating temperature: ±0.5°C (typ), ±1.5°C (max from 0°C to 85°C. Outside of that range (-40°C to 125°C), accuracy is ±1°C (typ), ±3°C. Scan rate is up to 40 samples/sec per channel.
Applications include automotive and industrial.
