The zForce Touch Sensor from Neonode is a laser light-based touch sensor that can be integrated and used in various applications. The sensor characteristics are high scanning frequency, low latency, good touch accuracy and the fact that it can be used on any display or any surface.
Accommodating different display sizes is rather straightforward since the IR touch sensor is available in different lengths ranging from 43 to 346 mm. To easily evaluate and integrate touchless sensing into an existing or new design, support and design-in tools include a demo kit (Figure 1), Sensor Module Explorer Kit with seven different length sensors and connectivity software. Communication with the sensor can occur through the Neonode Workbench software for Windows, a USB HID Digitizer Mode, a USB HID Raw Mode or the zForce SDK function library.
