With a radio and battery included, Banner Engineering’s SureCross Q45 wireless photoelectric sensor provides a first of its kind turnkey solution for position measurements. Developed specifically for industrial automation, the sensor can operate up to five years on two replaceable AA Lithium batteries thanks to its proprietary power management.
With a communication range of up to 3,000 ft (1 km) line-of-sight minimum, as many as 47 Q45 sensors per gateway can be supported in a wireless network. The solution’s housing provides IP67/NEMA 6P protection against liquids and debris common to industrial environments. Polarized Retroreflective, Convergent Visible, Remote Device Interface and Fiber Optic Models are available.
