Heilind Electronics stocking Standex Electronics reed switches

October 19, 2018 By Aimee Kalnoskas Leave a Comment

reed switchesHeilind Electronics is now offering a broad variety of reed switches from Standex Electronics – a leading manufacturer of custom electromagnetic components and the world’s largest producer of reed switches.

Standex’s portfolio includes a diverse selection of magnetic reed switches covering the majority of low power switching requirements. The switches are designed to carry as low as 10 nanovolts without signal loss, and up to 10,000 volts/7 GHz with minimal signal loss.

Unlike many mechanical and semiconductor switches, the hermetically sealed reed switches are impervious to almost all atmospheres; this makes them the only solution capable of meeting specific environmental requirements. Compact designs also offer an advantage, especially in newer technologies where a smaller footprint is essential to compatibility and performance. Included in Standex’s compact offering is a magnetic reed switch featuring a glass length of only 3.95 mm – the smallest in the industry.

Because of their unique switching capabilities, reed switches are an ideal choice for a wide variety of applications including test and measurement, medical equipment, automotive equipment, aviation, military, personal electronics and telecommunications.

In addition to Standex’s out-of-the-box inventory, Heilind offers custom magnetic reed switches featuring varying pad layouts, soldering pin lengths and magnetic sensitivity classes. It also offers custom reed- and capacitive-based liquid level sensors.

Visit Heilind’s website for more information about Standex Electronics reed switches.
