Wind energy systems, solar thermal power plants, medical technology, and oil and gas extraction can all benefit from accurate inclination measurements. For these and other applications require angle measurement or constant rotary monitoring, Balluff’s recently introduced inclination sensors may provide the answer. The sensors measure the deviation on a horizontal axis of up to 360°with an accuracy of 0.1°C, resolution of 0.01°, and a temperature drift of 0.01% /10K.
Based on a capacitive measuring principle and a liquid-based measuring cell, the sensors provide a non-contact absolute measurement. With a metal IP 67 and a temperature range of -40°C to + 85°C, can operate outdoors in demanding applications.
