Detecting and preventing ground fault problems to keep machinery and operators safe from accidental shocks requires both sensing and load control aspects. With its AGLD Series Ground Fault Sensors, NK Technologies addresses these requirements. Detecting any setpoint between 5 and 100mA or 80 and 950mA, the output relay changes state to prevent accidental shocks.
The sensor has a one-piece, solid-core design that allows installation over wires feeding heavy loads. To allow downstream protection to activate before the sensor, a delay in the senor can keep the main circuit protection hot and equipment energized while smaller faults are cleared. The sensor has an electromechanical relay output that provides both normally open and normally closed contacts.
