With its SMI7xy platform, Bosch provides four different, highly compact inertial sensors for automotive active and passive safety systems and driver assistance systems. The SMI720 and SMI740 sensors target basic applications and SMI700 and SMI710 sensors are for more demanding applications. All units are supplied in a compact BGA housing that measures just 7x7x1.5 mm3.
The SMI700 contains a z-axis yaw-rate sensor and an x and y-axis acceleration sensor. This sensor can address acceleration of up to 35 g. In addition to its SPI, the sensor has a PSI5 and a CAN interface.
The SMI710 also combines an x-axis yaw-rate sensor with a y and z-axis acceleration sensor and also has a PSI5 and a CAN interface.
The SMI720 contains an x-axis yaw-rate sensor and a z-axis acceleration sensor. The SMI740 has a z-axis yaw-rate sensor and an x and y-axis acceleration sensor.
