With the 3DM-GQ4-4, LORD MicroStrain integrates a triaxial accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, temperature sensors, and a pressure altimeter into a tactical-grade all-in-one navigation solution with integrated GNSS. With these sensors, the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) can directly measure acceleration, angular rate, and atmospheric pressure. When processed through a sophisticated estimation filter algorithm, the IMU achieves high accuracy computed outputs with compensation options for magnetic and linear acceleration anomalies, sensor biases, auto-zero update, and noise offsets. The computed outputs can include pitch, roll, yaw, a complete attitude, heading, and reference solution (AHRS) or a complete position, velocity and attitude solution (PVA), as well as integrated GPS outputs.
