Pressure Sensors for Tough Applications

April 22, 2013 By Randy Frank

APG521_ATEX-HU_Pressure_Trans_loresWhen it comes to tough applications, oil and gas drilling are among some of the toughest, especially for a pressure sensor that has to be in contact with these fluids. Hammer Union pressure transducers from Automation Products Group, Inc are designed specifically for these types of applications including mud logging, cementing, fracturing, acidizing and measurement while drilling. With pressure ranges up to 20,000 psi, the 316L stainless steel enclosure sensor now has ATEX and IECEx Certification as well as CSA certification for intrinsically safe operation. The rugged pressure transmitter can handle shock and vibration of 100 g for 11 ms and has a maximum ±0.25% combined linearity, hysteresis and repeatability (BFSL).
