Pressure transducer for submersible vehicles

February 4, 2020 By Mike Santora Leave a Comment

Sigma-Netics-SST74X-UVSigma-Netics, Inc., a global manufacturer of pressure switches, pressure transducers, and metal bellows assemblies, has introduced the SST 74X-UV Series depth transducer — a depth measurement device for use with submersible vehicles.

Designed to address the unique sensing requirements of unmanned underwater vehicles, these compact, shallow-diaphragm sensors feature a configurable flange design that allows outboard or inboard bulkhead installation along with digital and analog outputs.

The saltwater- and freshwater-compatible SST 74X-UV transducer delivers ±0.15% full scale output (FSO) total error band (TEB) accuracy, and its heavy-duty construction ensures vibration and shock resistance. Additional features and specifications include:

  • Outer diameter: 0.75-in. (19 millimeters) max.
  • Lightweight: <0.2 lb. (90 grams).
  • Standard ranges: 0-100, 250, 500, -750, 1500, 2000, 3000, 5000, 7000, 10000 psia/psig/psis.
  • Wetted parts made from 15-5 PH stainless steel or Inconel.

The SST 74X-UV is the latest in a growing line of Sigma-Netics pressure transducers that stand up to challenging operating environments. In addition to our standard catalog products, Sigma-Netics offers customized solutions for cases in which standard catalog products will not meet an OEM’s application requirements.
